One Month of Baby...

So I have figured out that babies are A LOT of work! Rewarding work, but VERY demanding... and we thought Stormie was demanding! Long nights, teetee squirting across the room, projectile poopies, projectile spit-ups... Sam and I rival each other on outfit changes per day! Altough, Sam most certainly has me beat!

All in all, he is a VERY good baby. He sleeps 4-5 hours at night - I should say that he goes 4-5 hours between feedings, which means we sleep 3-4 hours at a stretch. Still not too bad for a one month old! I CAN'T BELIEVE HE'S ONE MONTH OLD TODAY!!!!!!!! My, how time flies!

During the day, we usually go 3-4 hours between feedings. Still good, but it's so hard to get anything done! I really didn't realize how demanding breastfeeding is. I'm the only one who can feed him - and it takes a good 45 minutes per feeding. I do that about 8 times in a 24 hour period! That being said, Mommy ADDHD has CERTAINLY set in! I start one thing, remember something else I wanted to get done between feedings, do that, and forget what I was doing to begin with... like right now, I was on my way to pump, decided to let Stormie out and blog... not to mention I haven't showered or brushed my teeth yet!!!!!! I guess it will eventually get done!

BJ has been GREAT!!!! This was my first week without him or my parents (although, Tuesday, they came and took me and Sam to Rome to see Marney). It has been good for the most part - yesterday, Sam was inconsolable. He just needed to be held - all day!!!! When BJ gets home, he takes over Sam duties (except for the feedings), and I can finally get some stuff done that I had been wanting to do all day! I usually have at least one bottle pumped, and BJ has done the EARLY morning feedings lately too, which has been great for me resting!

Sam and I try to take a nap in the afternoons... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't!!!!! But I'm trying!

Well, duty calls... must go rescue my crying son (that's still so crazy to think I have a son!!!)
