Race Day
Bo and his friend Tim (not to be confused with my dad who is also Tim) have started going to a few different road course tracks and taking lessons to learn how to race their bikes. You know, like dragging their knee on the pavement and that type thing - going 140 mph and passing people and that kind of scary/crazy stuff!!!!! The good news is that they have instructors watching and teaching and are required to wear leather and all kinds of safety gear! Bo says it's a good day when they haven't "dropped" their bike or run off the road. YIKES!!!!!!
Now, here come the pictures...
Here's Bo on his bike - off to a class.
Bo, Daddy and Sam at the trailer (where we wait for Bo and Tim to be called for their next heat (which is 20 minutes - and about once an hour)
Sam's chillin' waiting for Uncle Bo to ride again.
Mimi and Sam - Bo's (right) and Tim's (left) bikes in the background.
Sam decided to "ride" Uncle Bo's bike! (That's tape on the headlights - and any other plasic part that could break and make a mess on the track - if they FALL!!!!!!! Oh My!!!!!!)
Smooth Rider...
Bo's about to head to the track.
We stopped Sam from eating to get this photo op!!!!!! Bad mommy!!!!
Here's Bo in the pits waiting for the flag man to let his heat go (he's in the orange helmet with the red jacket)
Here he comes (the one in the middle) Here he is (on the right)
There he goes (on the right - about to pass this guy)
This was later, Sam was not eating, but was pretty sleepy!
It was SO HOT!!!! This was towards the end of the day! And Sam did not sleep all day for more than MAYBE 30 minutes combined!!!!
The family picture!!!!
We were tired and hot, but had a great time watching Uncle Bo!!!! We ate, fed Sam, bathed Sam, and he crashed!!!! Then we showered and crashed too!!!!!!!!!
